Steve will finally start work on his second DVD this year. The working title for this project is Freedom. Details are limited at the moment but initial plans are to shoot the introduction segments in Normandy on the D-day beaches and around the war graves.
“Freedom” is a 23 minute mime loosely based on the prodigal son. It is set around the second world war, with the D-day landings being a key part of the mime. Many thousands of allied soldiers died during the Normandy campaign, sacrificing their lives for freedom and we must never forget what they have done. But today that word freedom seems to be an oxeye moron. We are free democratically but certainly not emotionally. Today our war hero’s would be saddened to see the state of the countries they died for. We are not free but we certainly can be. Jesus died so that we can be free from all the bondage the world throws at us. Their is a sacrifice that works and that’s the ultimate work carried out for us by Christ on the cross.
Steve will use his version of “Watch the Lamb” to portray the ultimate sacrifice and God’s love for a broken world. So these two mimes, linked with the Normandy clips will make up the integral part of the DVD.
Also, either a bonus section or a second DVD will have a selection of other mimes, which will be decided later.
The production of this evangelistic DVD will be very expensive. If you would like to be part of this exciting project and feel you could support financially, that would be very much appreciated.
